Sing Along Fun

The Sing Along on Friday was a great success. Thanks to all who came to join in the fun!

This week was filled with lots of excitement and anticiption! The students worked hard on their gifts and created beautiful decorations for the classroom. We learned all about Christmas. We talked about how our families celebrate the holiday, and what a great guy Santa Claus is to do such nice things for us. We wrote him a Thank you letter…and are hoping he will write back! We chased our Gingerbread Boy,Gingy , all over the school as he left clues to his whereabouts for us each morning.

In Literacy we completed our Mo Willems study and read many books about Christmas. In math we had an assessment to look at our progress on the last unit. We made potato latkes for the first day of Hanukkah, and changed over our Poet Tree from fall leaves to snowflakes for the first day of winter.

It was a busy week and the students did well riding out the fun and craziness of the pre-holiday rush. We wish you all a very relaxing and restful vacation! Enjoy this time with your wonderful children!!
